Take me to Dior-land

Τα Harrods αποδίδουν φόρο τιμής στον οίκο Dior αφιερώνοντας τον 4ο όροφο και τις βιτρίνες τους στο μεγάλο αυτό οίκο. Η έκθεση δημιουργήθηκε για τα 60 χρόνια συνεργασίας του οίκου με τα πολυκαταστήματα Harrods και χρειάστηκαν 18 μήνες προεργασίας για να συναντηθεί η βρετανική κουλτούρα με την παριζιάνικη πολυτέλεια. Ο 4ος όροφος των Harrods μας ταξιδεύει στο μαγικό κόσμο του Dior μέσα από τις σύγχρονες δημιουργίες του creative director Raf Simons, το σπάνιο φωτογραφικό υλικό του οίκου και τα vintage φορέματα της Όντρεϊ Χέιτμπορν, της Ελίζαμπεθ Τέϊλορ και της Νταϊάνα, που εκτίθενται στον ίδιο όροφο. Τέλος, μας οδηγεί να χαλαρώσουμε στο Dior cafe απολαμβάνοντας υπέροχα cupcakes με εικονογραφήσεις μόδας του Dior και λαχταριστές συνταγές από ένα βιβλίο μαγειρικής που δημοσιεύτηκε απο το σχεδιαστή το 1972. Utopian Worlds By Jean-François Rauzier

From January 26th to April the 1st 2013, the city of Dinard presents its new exhibition “Arches”. The photographer Jean-François Rauzier proposes an “archeo-modernist” odyssey. About forty pieces are presented such as a monumental sculpture, photographies, videos or fake documents specially recreated for this event.

“Arches” is a narration which central theme are extracts from Genesis. Curated by Ashok Adiceam, the exhibition is a walk through brand new pictures based on the story of Noah’s Ark.  Visitors are invited to travel in a mysterious and fascinating universe.

Jean-François Rauzier’s pictures recreate architectures and atmospheres by assembling various elements. As a surrealistic dream, each picture presents a new world between fiction and reality offering many interpretations but always creating a rupture with our today’s world.

This is definitely an experience that is not to be missed. Seen as a whole, his spectacular oeuvre invites us to embark on an fanciful journey through parallel universes of replicated reality where the imaginary co-exists with the real.
